Junior Entrepreneur Scheme
The school is delighted to announce that we’ve been accepted onto the JEP for Co.Roscommon.
The Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) is a 10 week entrepreneurial education programme for primary school pupils. The not-for-profit programme is led by Jerry Kennelly (founder & CEO of Tweak.com) in association with academic partner, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Developed in Ireland, the programme is embedded in the principles of the Primary School Curriculum and utilizes an integrated teaching and project-based approach to teach many strands of the curriculum. The sponsor for Co.Roscommon is Tom Morrisroe of ‘The Now Factory’. He has built up a reputation as a serial entrepreneur having established five successful companies throughout his career.
JEP is a 10/12 week programme. Participating classes have 16 weeks in which to complete the programme between December 2014 & March 2015.
Mr. Gately will be completing an online orientation programme, while he will also be attending an introductory meeting this Friday evening in the Abbey Hotel. 4th, 5th and 6th class will be involved in this scheme. It's going to be an exciting time in 2015!
